Abdellatif Kechiche is a Tunisian-French actor, film director and screenwriter. His work carefully details the daily life of the diverse communities. Kechiche focuses on the lifestyle of French Arabs, teenagers in the Parisian suburbs and multi-generational families in the picturesque South. His film 'Blue Is the Warmest Colour' (starring Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos) won the Palme d'Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
Kechiche presents 'Black Venus' (2010) - based on the life of Sarah Baartman, a Khoikhoi woman who in the early 19th century was exhibited in Europe under the name "Hottentot Venus".
