From highly deteriorated celluloid elements through a painstaking 18-month repair and restoration process to its resurrection beyond the filmmaker's expectations and finally to its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 and the biggest release of a restored classic in 51 cities and 101 cinemas across India that ran to full houses in many cities.
