Friday 19th November 2011 was a momentous occasion as two of the greatest living legends in rock n roll, Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler performed at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo as part of their England and European tour. Bob Dylan's influence in music is boundless, as a songwriter he has been a pioneer in different schools of songwriting and as a vocalist he has shattered the idea that a singer must have a formal singing voice, therefore giving new meaning to the vocalists role in music. As a musician he influenced different genres of music including country rock and electrified folk-rock. Mark Knopfler is just as impressive, one of the most respected guitarists of his generation, lead guitarist for Dire Straits which he co-founded, successful solo artist, producer for eight film scores, winner of 4 grammy awards, record producer and holder of three honorary doctorate degrees from universities in the UK. These two godfathers of rock have done it all and the fans got to see them do what they do best, play music that moves and brightens the soul. WinkBall video reporters were at the event asking the fans what are their expectations, what they love about these two great artists and any favourite songs they are looking forward to hearing.
