The Cleveland Division of Police has revealed the details of remembrance services for Officer Jamieson Ritter, who was shot and killed in the line of duty during the early morning hours of July 4.
Officials have confirmed a memorial service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist downtown. There will also be a procession taking Ritter's body to (and possibly from) the church, with the exact route set to be released this weekend.
According to the department, Ritter's actual funeral will take place out of state. While the exact location has not been revealed, it will presumably be somewhere in New York, with Ritter having been born and raised in the Rochester area.
