The United States of America started from 13 colonies on the Atlantic Coast and within 72 years it had doubled its size and reached the Pacific Ocean. It acquired California, Oregon Territory, Texas, and many other areas to achieve this goal. America also issued the Monroe Doctrine that determined its foreign policy towards North America and South America and made it a Super Power.
