Writer/director David Lowdey had no other actor but Robert Redford in mind for his version of the true story of Forrest Tucker, the coolest and oldest bank robber that has ever emptied safes in the United States, in The Old Man & The Gun. HFPA journalist Anke Hoffman caught up with Lowdey in Toronto, and they discussed the “blurred edges” of fact and legend.
