Meet Lefty! He comes for daycare every once in a while but he hates his nails being trimmed. I tried last fall to trim his nails only to have him growl and snap at me. Next time I tried a muzzle(which he was previously conditioned to) and that didn’t help at all. Honestly it made him more stressed and I didn’t want to do that to him. So the next step was to introduce food and counter condition his feelings of his nails being trimmed. I tried the food in November and was able to almost complete his front feet.
