HMAS Ballarat has received a replenishment at sea (RAS) after providing support to the Indonesian Navy in the search for missing submarine KRI Nanggala.
The RAS provided by HMAS Sirius took place in the Karimata Strait between the Java and South China seas. Both HMA Ships Ballarat and Sirius are currently on separate Regional Presence Deployments with one Task Group consisting of HMAS Ballarat and HMAS Parramatta and a second Task Group made up of HMAS Anzac and HMAS Sirius.
The four ships are conducting a number of bilateral, trilateral and multilateral activities across Southeast Asia and Northeast Indian Ocean as part of Australia's commitment to working with regional partners to address shared challenges, including our region’s maritime security.
