Intel’s Q3 2020 Financial disclosures have come with a lot of interesting numbers. The company says that they have beat expectations in revenue and earnings per share, however the numbers aren’t as clear cut as they make out. A lot of key departments are down on revenue, some of that is down to the global pandemic, but also average selling prices are down and rather than enhancing research $ as a function of revenue, the company is accelerating share buybacks to keep investors happy. There was no engineer on this call, to talk about delays to Ice Lake Xeon and Sapphire Rapids Xeon. There was also talk of Alder Lake, Iris Xe MAX, and DG2.
