Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responds to questions about new sanctions that Canada has imposed in response to Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine. The federal government has signaled it will introduce legislation that would allow seized assets to be redistributed to compensate victims and rebuild affected countries. Speaking briefly with reporters ahead of the weekly Liberal caucus meeting, Trudeau is also asked about a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Quebec's Saguenay region. Conservative MP and leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre says he would support the project, which was rejected by both the federal and provincial governments.
