To begin I added a video to my timeline.
First, move the play head to where you want to freeze the frame.
Right-click on the clip and select insert frame hold segment.
This will add a picture of that frame with a length of 2 seconds.
To change the length of frame hold, hover mouse at the end of it, then press ctrl key on your keyboard so the icon changes to a yellow icon.
Now drag to change the length of the frame.
Now let’s undo changes, and consider another way.
Move the play head to where you want to add frame hold, right-click on your clip and choose add frame hold.
This will convert the remaining of your clip to a frame hold.
Let’s undo changes once more.
Move the play head to where you want to add frame hold, now click on export frame button at bottom of program panel.
In the popup, set a name and set format to jpeg and make sure import into project is checked, and click ok.
This will add an image to your project, drag it above your video at play head position and change its length.
Now use razor tool to add a cut, then with selection tool, drag the rest of the clip after the image.
