The life of a man from Udaipur was taken by extremists because of his support over Nupur Sharma's statement. So far only one SHO and one ASI is suspended by the police. Former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, SP Vaid said, " Udaipur police can not escape the responsibility ,as Kanhaiyalal was repetitively reporting that he was facing threat. I was listening to the statement of senior police inspector, where in they mentioned that they called both the groups in Police station and made some agreement and sent them home. This is not what police should be doing when you face such a threat. Right course would have been to register FIR on the complaint of Kanhaiyalal. Then they should have arrested these people and booked them under relevant sections of law. They can not escape from the responsibility.
