"I think it's important on a day like this that we remember that we are united in valuing human life and it is at times like this that we remember how important our cooperation is together to build a world in which there is no room for terrorist ideologies, where there is no room for fear and hate, where there is no room for intolerance."

STORYLINE
A memorial service to the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York was held in Moscow on Thursday.
The service, at St Catherine's Church, was attended by the US Ambassador to the Russian Federation, John Beyrle, along with other Western and Russian officials.
"I think it's important on a day like this that we remember that we are united in valuing human life," Beyrle said, "
"It is at times like this that we remember how important our cooperation is together to build a world in which there is no room for terrorist ideologies, where there is no room for fear and hate, where there is no room for intolerance," he told AP Television.
White roses carried by children were presented to Beyrle and the Rector of St Catherine's.
On September 11, 2001, hijacked airplanes crashed into the World Trade Centre, the Pentagon and a field in the state of Pennsylvania, killing almost 3-thousand people.
