Bellinzona is a historic Swiss town, and the capital of the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The town is famous for its three castles (Castelgrande, Montebello, Sasso Corbaro) that have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2000.
The picturesque corners and squares, the courtyards and the neo-Classical, Italian-style theatre, and the beautifully restored old houses tell visitors the rich history of the medieval town. In its alleyways are richly decorated patrician houses and beautiful churches.
