Picked this lovely little loco up for just £75 at a Model Exhibition in Scarborough, with both it's box and DCC Decoder. I took the locomotive home, and immediately swapped the decoder out with a spare blanking plug (From Bachmann 'Small Praire no. 5532), so the locomotive now runs on DC. The previous owner has also added real coal to the tender, and has done the best weathering job I have ever seen! I obviously didn't want to skip this for £75, and bought it on the first day of the Exhibition, Saturday 23rd April 2022. For those wondering, the product code is 32-586DC.
No. 43154 was built at Doncaster Works to an LMS design on December 14th 1951, and was allocated to 32G Melton Constable. She moved to 40E Colwick in March 1959, and on to 40A Lincoln in November that year. She was moved back to 40E Colwick in October 1962, and was withdrawn from there on December 26th 1964, after a short working life of just 13 years and 12 days. She was cut up for scrap in April 1965.
Thanks for watching! =)
