This is How To repair, maintain and lube the blade engagement system on a riding mower, to prevent corrosion keep your equipment out of the elements, covered, garaged etc. removing the engagement cable is easy, two clips under frame, before working on the mower deck, adjust it to the lowest level then lower with the lever creating much more space, hose down the deck and spray with lube regularly to keep it working well.
Update: the cable broke, I knew it was on it's way out, so I repla ed it with 1/16" solid wire for concrete work, I had laying around, it actually worked better then the cable, he blade stops faster👍 invent on'
