The Bessey Mini-Vice
[ Ссылка ]
In this episode, Phil abandons his dreams of singing and returns to his job as presenter for Cool Tool Tuesday. This week's tool is the Bessey Multi Angle Mitre Handy Vice Kit - or mini-vice.
Considering it's a reasonably easy to use alloy, this is an absolute beast of a mitre clamp. It makes guide rod clamping parallel a breeze and can still clamp at up 25 degree angles without rods, making it a true blue multi angle vice. Just, y'know, from Germany instead. Which isn't a bad thing.
Comparing the German engineering that goes into every Bessey clamp to any of the cheap knock-offs on the market is a bit like comparing a C-Class Mercedes Benz to a 20 year old Kia Carnival. It's the solid alloy steel, the incredibly intuitive design, the clips for easy attachment, the solid pressure, Mabo...it's the vibe. You get the idea.
What we love about these Handy Vices most is the versatility. The two included V-groove jaws make benchtop clamping so much more pleasurable when they're made as well as these are.
