On August 18, over 150 graduate nursing students were honored during the traditional White Coat Ceremony. As parents, families, and friends cheered, these Doctor of Nursing Practice students were enrobed in their own USF College of Nursing embroidered white coat, a symbol of their first steps towards advanced practice nursing. This beautiful ceremony was made possible, in part, by Tampa General Hospital.
"It is my hope for you that your white coat comes to mean many things to you as it did for me," said Dr. Wendi Goodson-Celerin, Tampa General Hospital Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. "For me, it means excellence. It means hard work to better our patients and our community."
