Today:
Thursday starts dry with sunny spells for England and Wales but western Scotland and Northern Ireland have got heavy showers. Temperatures are generally rather cool.
Through the rest of the day Scotland, Northern Ireland and some parts of northern England will have heavy showers which could contain rumbles of thunder and might merge into longer spells of rain in places. The rest of England and Wales will stay mostly dry with sunny spells.
Brisk northwesterly winds will make temperatures of 13C to 22C feel quite cool.
Tonight:
Showers continue for northern and western Scotland while southern and southwestern England as well as south Wales will have outbreaks of rain. Most central regions will become dry. Temperatures will be quite cool at 7C to 15C but southern counties will be milder.
Tomorrow:
Light rain and drizzle will come and go in the south by many central regions will be dry with quite a lot of cloud. Scotland and Northern Ireland will have a scattering of showers. Temperatures will be average to cool at 12C to 22C. Potentially turning very wet across England and Wales on Friday night.
Outlook:
Saturday: Heavy rain clearing to showers in the north but the south should be drier. Cool.
Sunday: Sunshine and showers. Cool.
Monday: More heavy rain moving in from the Atlantic. Cool.
