Elderberry syrup is one of the best natural remedies for a cold and flu. It is even better when you’re not sick to boost your immune health. It is high in vitamins A,B,C. And has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Making elderberry syrup at home is easy. Start by adding dried elderberries, a cinnamon stick, ginger, and water to a saucepan. Then bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for at least 30 minutes. Then strain the liquid and try to squeeze out as much liquid as you can. This is liquid gold right here. Then add honey. I like to use Manuka Honey because it has more antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties than regular honey. Mix well, and now you have an incredible nutrient dense syrup to take daily.
