Berto's Home | How to make Ube cheese donut with ubw halaya soft and fluffy
Ube and cheese is a perfect combination when it comes to bread or donuts, recently this papular ube cheese is always trending, since i am curious about it so i tried this on trending ube cheese flavor in a donut and it works! Ang sarap sobra! malambot at masarap!
Method:
All purpose flour 4 cups (500gm)
Milk Powder 40 gm
Sugar 75 gm
Salt 1 tsp
Instant yeast 1 tbsp
Eden cheese cut into small pcs. 1 bar
Egg 1 piece
Fresh milk 220 g
Butter melted 1/2 cup
Ube Concentrated flavoring 2 tsp
Ube jam 4 tbsp
Tangzhong roux 4 tbsp( this recipe is 1 part of all purpose
flour and 5 part of water
and bring to boil until thicken.)
Oil to fry.
Procedure:
Yeast mixture:
1 tbsp yeast, sugar 1 tsp, 1/4 cup warm milk mix well and set aside.
Dry ingridients:
in a bowl put the 4 Cups flour, add salt 1 tsp, add 1 tsp bakinng powder, & add Ube flavor 3 tbsp. mix and set a side.
Milk Mixture:
in a shallow bowl, add the milk mixture, with sugar and 1 egg, add vaniila 1 tsp, Ube Flavoring essence 2 tsp.
In dry Ingredients, add the yeast mixture & add the milk mixture add tangzhong roux, add ube halaya 4 tbsp knead it well and add melted butter and continue kneading for 15 minutes and after that, rest for 20 minutes.
after 20 minutes cut in to small pieces and flatten the dough enough to put ube jam and the cheese and fold it well and roll over desiccated coconut, and let it rest for 1 hour, until bloom double.
1 hour after, pre heat the pan over medium heat with oil and fry.
