Have you ever wanted to grow your own salad sprouts? There are many ways to go about it, but I’ve found that growing them in mason jars is simple and fun. Check out this video for a day by day run down on how I grow sprouts in my kitchen. You’ll find links below for all the seeds and equipment I use. Remember, these are affiliate links. If you’re going to buy something on Amazon anyway, by using this link you’re helping to support this channel and I really appreciate it.
Question: Do I really need special sprouting seeds, or can I use any old seed to sprout?
My Opinion: Some foods you find in the store are irratiated to prevent sprouting. If you buy say, lentils, from the store in hopes of sprouting them it may work but it may not depending on how the food was treated before it came to you. Sprouting seeds are specifically made for sprouting, so there isn’t anything on the seeds to prevent them from doing just that, sprouting!
