In conjunction with GB Railfreight (GBRf), a customer located in the UK, Progress Rail held a locomotive naming ceremony at our locomotive manufacturing facility in Muncie, Indiana. The unveiling featured a EMD Class 66 locomotive named, “The Hoosier State,” manufactured by Progress Rail for GBRf. Attendees included Progress Rail leadership and employees from the Muncie facility, as well as employees from GBRf. A number of prominent local and state politicians provided remarks regarding the impact of this milestone for the Muncie community. www.progressrail.com
