➡️ Pinch me - @MikePortnoyDT1 has returned to @dreamtheaterofficial! This band meant so much to me growing up, and even as the years have gone by, they'll forever hold a special place in my musical DNA. The second this news dropped, I had the urge to watch some old videos of this original Dream Theater lineup, and "Instrumedley" was one of my favorite videos to study as a young lad. I enjoyed refreshing on this fun one-off song they performed on the "Live at Budokan" DVD from 2004, and as usual, offer my analysis on John Myung's techniques, bass parts, and plenty of commentary on the songs and their compositions. I also discuss what class acts all parties involved have been with this transition, what I think the future holds, and how cool it is that we'll all get to witness this lineup on stage again. Join me as I have a little fun falling in love with Dream Theater all over again!
