At first glance, the draft seems like a step forward since it releases the core rules under the Creative Commons license. But those rules were likely not something WotC could have copyrighted anyway.

The specifics in the license are not much different from what we saw in the initial release and the stuff about VTTs is downright disturbing.

At best this is a small step forward, but hidden between the lines of the OGL are the details that show how this is still just a ploy for Wizards of the Coast to exert more control over how you play Dungeons and Dragons.
