On Qiyao Mountain in Shizhu County, Chongqing, there is a section of road built along the ridge of the mountain top, with cliffs on both sides, just like a "road to heaven." Driving on this road, looking down from the air is like driving on a razor blade. Every step is startling, both spectacular and thrilling.
Daobeiliang Blade Road is so named because it looks like the back of a knife. This is a road winding on the ridge of a large mountain with an altitude of more than 1,600 meters. It was originally built to transport wind power equipment, but it has become a legend.
The large windmill of Qiyao Mountain is located in Dafengmen. It has a high altitude, strong wind, and extremely fast rotation speed. Back then, in order to build the Dabaoliang Wind Power Project, people overcame the difficulty of a narrow construction area and used small excavators and machines to dig bit by bit. It took 7 months to complete the road! Later, prefabricated beams poured with concrete and steel bars were used to widen part of the roadbed, forming the basic pattern of this "sky road". Qiyao Mountain is located in a remote area. This road connects 10 poor villages in 4 towns deep in the mountains, and it has truly become a road to wealth.
