I believe the Voightlander 50mm F2 APO Lanthar is quite possibly the world's sharpest lens! I have used a number of 50mm camera lenses over the years, and this is one of my all time favorites. My copy of the lens was for the Sony FE mount, and I used the lens on the A7R III camera body. I think this compact, prime camera lens is possibly one of the best lenses in the world. It also holds the distinction of being an APO lens, or apochromatic. Because of the voightlander the brilliant optics, the lens produces some of the sharpest images in the world. Voightlander is a German lens maker that has been making lenses forever, and this seems to be one of their finest. This lens was manufactured by Cosina in Japan. Overall, as long as you are okay with a manual focus lens, this voightlander 50mm APO-Lanthar is as good as it gets.
