Shanghai has closed schools, parks, cinemas and suspended some long-distance travel amid a resurgence of COVID-19 cases across the financial hub.
The city reported 9 local cases and 130 asymptomatic cases Monday, bringing to total number of the new wave of infections to around 900 since Mar. 1.
With some 90 percent are asymptomatic patients.
