Beetroot Pachadi is a traditional #RaitaRecipe which is also a part of #OnamSadya. This #BeetrootPachadi is made with whisked curd and grated beetroot. Beetroot Pachadi Recipe:
Beetroot (medium) - 1 no
Curd - 1 ½ Cups
Green Chilli (chopped) - 2 nos
Curry Leaves - 10 nos
Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds - ½ tsp
Split Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp + ½ tsp
Cooking Instructions:
1. Add ½ tsp salt to the curd. Whisk well and set aside.
2. Peel and grate the beetroot.
3. In a pan, heat the oil. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
4. Then add the split urad dal, curry leaves and chopped green chillies.
5. Add the grated beetroot and ½ tsp salt and cook for 2 minutes.
6. Add this into the curd and mix well. Adjust salt to taste.
7. Beetroot pachadi is ready to serve!
