In this episode I hike along the Palisades Lakes Trail near Sunrise in Mount Rainier National Park in Washington State. I find a beautiful spot on the shore of a pretty alpine lake to set up my plein air easel and do an oil painting. Its a beautiful late summer day in the Cascade Mountains and I enjoy the afternoon. I talk a little about how I handle the changing light. I also experiment (unexpectedly) with turpenoid, a replacement solvent for turpentine.
