Sakshi Mishra and her husband in a video message posted on social media said she faces a life threat from her father for marrying a Dalit. Sakshi and her husband also appealed to Bareilly superintendent of police to provide protection to them as their lives were in danger from her father's goons. Sakshi said she married Ajitesh Kumar, despite her family’s wishes. But the MLA claimed neither himself or anyone from his family have threatened Sakshi.
