22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,
*- fruit: Metaphorically, that which originates or comes from something; an effect, result; equivalent to work, act, or deed.
*- peace: harmony, concord (agreement).
*- Fruit is used in the singular form, denoting that the remaining works are results from the fruit, love.
23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

*- Peace is granted to those who will obey.

*- Every Holy Spirit-filled believer should produce peace. Yet, we often don’t know how to extract the peace that comes from the Holy Spirit. So, how do we get peace?
Depart from evil and do good; seek, inquire for, and crave peace and pursue (go after) it!
Psalm 34:14 (AMPC)
*- Asking for peace proves we’ve decided that peace is what we’d rather have than our alternative.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27 (KJV)
*- Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, gives us peace, especially when we ask for spiritual results. (John 16:14)
19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

*- Peace comes from God and is a part of His personality, His character. Therefore, peace is holy. He is the God of Peace because He created it. God made peace, and He made peacemakers to make peace. (Matthew 5:9) When we are obedient to God, peace will be on earth.
*- “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.”
Homework:
Seek peace, and pursue it until the situation you’re in or appointed to, results in peace. Let peace be your goal in all things.
