A twist to the regular pesto with the addition of walnuts.
WALNUT BASIL PESTO
Ingredients
15-20 walnuts
100 grams parmesan cheese
5-6 garlic cloves
6-8 black peppercorns
½ cup parsley sprigs
25-30 fresh basil leaves
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste
Method
1. Add walnuts, parmesan cheese, cloves and black peppercorns to a blender jar and blend into a coarse paste.
2. Add parsley, basil leaves and olive oil, blend to a fine paste to make the pesto.
3. Add salt, mix well. Use as required.
