The surge in novel coronavirus cases in South Korea is not slowing down. Over 4,000 cases were confirmed as of March 2 with the death toll standing at 26. Medical staff are under increasing pressure amid the sudden spike in total number of infections and the supply shortage of face masks is only getting worse. Most religious gatherings are being moved to online services while major sports leagues are canceling or postponing their upcoming season.
