Hello and welcome to The Gold Coast Art School channel!

When dad showed me this palette cleaning tip, my mind was blown. It really works! I used to dread the end of term, because I'd be stuck cleaning plastic paint palettes for ages. Scraping, picking, scrubbing off dried paint. It's such a pain.

But this art tip has saved me so much time. Just use water! And... that's it! No harsh chemicals, no hot water that can burn you, no extra paint, nothing. Just chuck them in water and leave them for a few days. Easy!

You may find some paints will stain, such as dark blues. We don't worry about this so much. Certain pigments will permanently stain most surfaces no matter what you do. But you will be able to get all that dried paint off without scrubbing.
