Smith & Wesson's Model 60 revolver was the first production revolver in stainless steel. Building on the popularity of the already popular Model 36, the new concealable .38 special was perfect for folks seeking a more durable finish for their EDC.
1LT William L. Sullivan was not immune to the utilitarian charms of the Model 60 and purchased one just months before shipping out for service in Vietnam at arriving at Firebase Ripcord. It was the site of one of the last major military land engagements against North Vietnam. Unfortunately, his service was short-served and Billy Sullivan's Model 60 made the return voyage home without him.
