Today’s video topic is “Types of Matrices”.
The word matrix is originated from a Latin word "Mater" used for a woman who is able to give birth to a child. Matrix is singular while its plural is matrices. Matrices have no numerical value but it is name of a structure. Elements of matrices can be enclosed into square brackets or into parenthesis or into double brackets. Matrices are used into our daily life but most of us have no idea about its application. This video goes over just a few applications of matrices that may give you some insight into how they can be used in the real world. Linear algebra was never explained well to me in school and I had very little motivation to learn matrices at the time so hopefully this helps you if you're in a similar situation. Also note there are so many applications there's just no way to fit them into one video. What are Matrices? View this video to understand the basics of matrices. Following types of matrices are explained with definitions and examples
In this video, we will learn:
0:40 Row matrix
02:05 Column matrix

07:50 Rectangular matrix
10:26 Null or Zero matrix
12:06 Definition of secondary diagonal
