5 tips for taking photos of yourself in public when it feels scary and awkward 👇

1. Plan ahead!
That way you will have a rough idea of what you want to have in your photo. A vision. Having a vision will not make it less scary. And there will still be a lot of improvisation. But the whole process will take less time.
2️. Take your time
Use a tripod and timer. I don’t have a tripod yet but I use a timer on my phone and put it on random places. You can also record a video and then use a frame you like as a photo.
3. Go to your happy place
Set the mood in your head. Think of a funny joke or visit a happy memory. Play your favorite song. That will get you in a better mood and distract you from being so conscious of your surroundings. Plus, photos will look so much better!
4. Focus on the goal
People will stare and look at you. But try to ignore them and focus on the goal. Why are you doing this? If you are just starting out pretend you are getting paid $$$ for a single shot or just imagine that people walking by are thinking ‘I wish to be that confident when taking photos’.
5. Be comfortable by being you!
The online world can be overwhelming seeing stunning photos and perfect gowns. But that doesn’t mean you have to do it! If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Be you and wear something that makes you feel good and confident. Jeans, joga pants, skirt or a dress.
The more you will do it, easier it will be. And never forget "Those Who Mind Don't Matter, and Those Who Matter Don't Mind"
