NEW: JOIN ME ON PATREON: [ Ссылка ]
Who you gonna call? When Montreal businessman Terry Pomerantz realized his brand new Cadillac Escalade was stolen while eating dinner in 2003, he quickly called Mafia boss Vito Rizzuto for help, the Charbonneau Commission heard on March 14, 2014.
Pomerantz wanted his SUV back, sure, but he seemed more concerned about a briefcase he left inside which was "very important" to him.
Vito thought he could help.
"It's a good thing you called. Let me see what I can do," the mob boss said. It would take him a day to find out.
The Charbonneau Commission is a public inquiry in Quebec probing corruption in the province's construction industry.
Look for an updated edition of the book I wrote on the Rizzuto clan, with co-author Lee Lamothe, published by HarperCollins in April, 2014.
