Astronomers searching for life beyond the Earth’s atmosphere have observed a strong signal from a star that is 95 light years away. If the signal is artificially produced then it’s strong enough to suggest a more advanced civilisation than our own. Even though it’s still not clear if the signal is being transmitted by aliens, but the researchers says that they will keep a close watch on this intriguing new extra-terrestrial candidate.
The message appeared to have come from a nearby star, HD164595, in the constellation Hercules. That star is 95 light years away -relatively close to the scale of the universe -and almost exactly the same size as our star.
