The work of Phyllida Barlow (1944 – 2023) takes over our Somerset gallery in a celebration of the
British artist’s transformative approach to sculpture; marking the gallery’s 10th anniversary that was
inaugurated by Barlow’s solo exhibition ‘GIG’ in 2014.
Curated by Frances Morris, ‘Phyllida Barlow. unscripted’ brings together a collection of the artist’s signature elements from several major installations, as well as a number of free-standing sculptures ranging from the early 1970s to work made in the last year of Barlow’s life.
‘Phyllida Barlow. unscripted’ continues through 5 January at Hauser & Wirth Somerset.
