here, i will show you the easiest way to install, and run a texture pack on minecraft java.

if you are a minecraft bedrock player, you are probably aware of .mcpack and .mcaddon extensions, which loads up a mod or addon in MCBE. MCJE usually uses .zip format or packs in a folder. if you are new to MCJE its usually confusing to install a texturepack of your wish, since it requires you to mess around a bit with your filesystem. kind of annoying for new players, but this video will help you out.

this video had a little bit of delay, due to a little search for the pack i was going to show you about how to install.

steps:
1. download a texture pack of your wish. (i used faithful's PBR pack here.)
2. after install, open your downloads folder, and drag the downloaded file to your homescreen. (you can close downloads after that.)
3. open minecraft, then settings, resource packs, click open files (on the bottom left, check video for coordination.)
|- a new window will show up where your packs are there, after you click.
4. now drag the zip file or the folder you dropped on the homescreen to the modpack window which minecraft opened after clicking the 'open files' button. (its the drag-n'-drop process.)
5. after you dragged it in, you can safely close that window, and reopen minecraft, and you should be able to see the pack on your installed packs list.
6. activate the pack by hovering your mouse cursor on the packs icon, and enjoy! :D
