It has been a really long time since I started learning this song (to be exact, around 17 months ago). Last year, I played Unravel 2 times on stage and screwed up both of the performances since my techniques and fingers at that time weren’t really that strong. I couldn’t play fast arpeggios, tremolos, big jumps, and a lot more... and my fingers would also easily get stiff when I’m just halfway through the song. Before my first Unravel performance on stage, I wanted to give up many times already because I couldn’t get the fast arpeggios right. After both the performances, I got scared of Animenz's arrangement of Unravel and didn't touch that song again for almost a year.

I just started practicing it back 1 week ago since a friend's birthday is coming soon, and I thought that it would be cool to play this song on his birthday. I spent the last few days doubting myself a lot because I can easily tell that I won’t able to play this song really well and I almost gave up the idea of posting the video. It took me about 15 takes to record this video and I was completely out of energy after I finished recording. Playing Unravel nonstop for dozens of times is really tiring tbh. Looking at Animenz Live Concert, I can tell that he's even more tired after playing his own piano arrangements for 2 hours straight. Till today, I can say that I've improved a lot and my overall piano technique has also gotten better. Although it's still not at that level where everything is clean and smooth yet, this is my current best.

Shoutout to Animenz for being such a huge inspiration to me. Even if his arrangements are really hard to play, it still fits perfectly to the music. Also, thank you guys for watching my piano videos. I’m aiming for 100 subs by the end of this year :) Let’s make it happen 👊🏻
