Today we travel to Cachoeira, one of the significant places in Brazilian history. It was here that the declaration of independence was pronounced in the early 19th century.
From Cachoeira we travel to Maragojipe, or Maragogipe for the local carnaval celebrations. This small city in the bahian countryside states a joyful celebration with lots of interestingly clad inhabitants strolling through the streets. The carnaval of Maragojipe has become a sought after visual object for all kinds of camera enthusiasts around Brazil and the world.
