Earlier this year, GoFirst, an Indian airline, filed for bankruptcy and suspended its operations. However, this is merely the most recent addition to a growing list of failing and failed airlines in India. In fact, over the past decade, a total of 13 companies, including prominent airline companies such as Kingfisher, Air Deccan, and Jet Airways, have ceased operations. Consequently, the question arises as to why so many airlines fail in India.
