After 27 years of my own business and my dad a whole generation before me in air-conditioning and refrigeration. This is how I manage my refrigerant recovery and recycling keeping a clear identified visual cues other than having to read letters or numbers on the side of a tank by adding cuddler codes on to recovery and recycle tanks.
You must have a refrigerant identifier it is not an option it’s a must if you the shop owner business owner you don’t whine or cry or complain and make up excuses why you don’t have one, you either have one or get the hell out of the business and go scrub toilets take out garbage or flip burgers at your local burger joint.
There is a lot of contaminated refrigerant out there there is also a lot of refrigerant with a high percentage of air in moisture mixed in with it that causes other problems.
A lot of experience and knowledge can be gained when you seek it and when dealing with refrigerant and you don’t deal in pounds or kilos you deal in tons at a time and you always use a refrigerant identifier there’s a lot of experience and knowledge to learn
