Life Is Strange is an episodic graphic adventure video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Square Enix. It is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and OS X, and consists of five episodes released periodically throughout 2015.

The game's plot focuses on Maxine Caulfield, a photography student who discovers that she has the ability to rewind time at any moment, leading her every choice to enact the butterfly effect. After having foreseen an approaching storm, Max must take on the responsibility to prevent it from destroying her town. The player's actions will adjust the narrative as it unfolds, and reshape it once allowed to travel back in time. Fetch quests and making environmental changes represent the forms of puzzle solving in addition to using branching choices for conversation.[/i]

After Remember Me, I always said DONTNOD could make a wonderful game if they could save all the effort and energy normally required for developing a combat and platforming system, and focus all of it instead on story and characters. And voila, Life is Strange has no combat or platforming, and it's a wonderful, wonderfully pleasant game, one that puts Telltale and their endless formula recycling to place.

If you like Twin Peaks, Butterfly Effect, Twilight Zone, Donnie Darko and the like, this game is for you as it draws inspiration from all of those and more, as well as regularly references them. -
