This is Zach's story of life transformation while attending multiple summers at Pine Cove Camps. Zach lives his day to day with epilepsy, a disorder that many live in fear of. In 2010, Zach and his parents stepped out in faith and allowed him to attend camp at the Ranch. With some of the most amazing, God-filled counselors there beside him, he experienced Christ in a whole new way and the love and care from friends he had never known.
Fast forward to May 2013. Alicia, Zach's sister and a former Pine Cove counselor, ran a half marathon in honor of Zach and decided to sell t-shirts in order to raise money to donate to a charity of his choice. With a final decision between PIne Cove's scholarship program, Project 319, and epilepsy research, Zach chose to donate the money to Pine Cove and told Alicia this:
"Alicia, as much as I want epilepsy to be cured, I'd rather help kids go to Pine Cove, because even if a kid is cured, what good does it do them if they don't know Jesus?"
Zach gets it. Do you?
