Every time this piece came up in the anime I was totally expecting to be listening to Prokofiev's "Dance of the Knights" from his ballet, "Romeo and Juliet." The opening few measures are pretty much copy and pasted and even the key is the same. Of course, Yoshihisa Hirano uses choir and goes in a very different direction for the rest of it, but it's interesting to know that he's quoting and borrowing from well-known classical pieces throughout the Hunter x Hunter soundtrack (see my "Riot" cover). This is a fairly straightforward transcription of the piece and is my first Hunter x Hunter cover where I've included piano. I didn't think I could get the right effect trying to play those heavy chords in the lower register on violin.
