Illness and injury prevented us from going to high ground for the CB Net this week, but we gave it a try from woodland and coastal locations which turned out to be a valuable exercise in a potential SHTF comms situation. Radio was the Maycom AH-27, a 3.2w 80 channel FM CB radio, with an Albrecht CL-27 upgrade antenna and a speaker mic - that was it!
Next time we'll put up a T2LT/Coax dipole and see how that setup does!
